My subject models and the people I have the privilege of meeting as an artist are a constant source of inspiration, but none so much as Stephen, who I am currently drawing for the De’Longhi Art Auction which will take place in September to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Stephen was diagnosed with terminal cancer three years ago and has managed to accomplish more in the time since than many people do in an entire lifetime. I hope you’ll read his story here and do whatever you can to support his charity the Teenage Cancer Trust.
It has been a week since my episode on Extraordinary Portraits aired on BBC One and I’m still on a blissful high! The response from the public has been unbelievable! So many heartwarming messages that I’m still making time to respond to.
