I am extremely delighted to share with you all that my drawing of Kate Moss sold at the Bonhams British. Cool. auction sale for £62,750!!! It has been a week since the big sale and I am still floating!

The drawing was also featured in over 140 major press outlets internationally including – The Sun, Daily Mail, Independent and the Evening Standard!

In all honesty, I was extremely anxious about this whole thing. It was my first time entering the secondary art world market with the opportunity of having an original drawing sold publicly – which in turn, could birth a whole new value for my art. As grateful as I was to have been approached by Bonhams and to be asked to create a work of art for their sale, I knew that there was also a chance that my work may not have sold, or if it did sell, it could have sold for a value much lower than what I have valued my drawings in the past.

My drawing of Kate Moss was the forth most sold artwork in the auction LOT. Just behind the work of one of the most well-known living artists in the world today, Banksy. Unreal…

A couple of days before the live auction at Bonhams, I had the pleasure of being a panellist speaker alongside fashion editor Lucinda Chambers and cultural commentator Peter York. Moderated by Bonhams’ global director of communications Lucinda Bredin, the topic of discussion in that event was about us sharing our views on whether Britain was still cool and for us to also take the opportunity of looking back at the decades of British art & culture – reflecting on its legacy.

A huge thank you to these lovely ladies Janet Hardie and Lyelle Shohet from Bonhams who have been incredible with facilitating and being so extremely helpful throughout the whole auction experience. Also a big thank you to marketing manager Pierre Coulouma and press officer Sasha Graham with all the help they provided.

And once again, I would like to extend a huge thank you to my dear friend and business executive Thomas Graham for all the efforts made over the past 3 months helping to bring forth this amazing opportunity with Bonhams.

Thank you to all at Bonhams! I look forward to working with you again soon.
