This drawing was awarded the 2013 Runner Up Best of Show Prize at Cork Street Open Exhibition – Winter Show in Mayfair, London
Jamal is a relative of the artist. In his expression, Okafor wanted to capture a sense of stillness and presence. An expression which he felt reflects the benign personality trait his relative has.
